On-Grid Solar Power System
On-grid or Grid-tied, utility-interactive, grid intertie and grid back-feeding are described the same concept, it is a solar power system that is connected to the utility power grid.
An on-grid solar power system generates electric energy from the sun and stores it in the utility power grid. It includes solar panels to convert solar radiation into electricity during the day and an on-grid inverter to supply electricity to the load or sell the excess electricity to grid through net-metering or feed in tax schemes.
If you have access to the utility power grid, and your main concern is getting the most value from your investment, on-grid solar power system is the way to go. It has the lowest upfront cost
because you don’t have to buy storage batteries to store the power you generate. The utility
power grid takes care of storage for you. It’s a simplest way to reduce electricity bills.
